The flagship Printemps (a French department store that is a fashion mavens dream), on the Boulevard Haussmann in Paris, has its windows brought to life by Christian Dior, under Raf Simmons, this holiday season. The glorious windows were made possible by puppeteer Jean-Claude Dehix and the dreamy illustrations of Garance Wilkens. The windows are a frivolous dream brought to life by dolls in miniature Haute Couture dresses with miniature Dior Handbags on merry go-rounds, ferris wheels, skating, dancing, and flying over Paris in hot air balloons. The windows truly are a fashion fairy tale come true. The amazing Raf Simmons has brought life back to Christian Dior, and at this point I can say Galliano who? Raf Simmons has not made me miss him for a minute and is here to stay.
